Cute Hand Knit Stuffed Owl Toyl! A Gift for Baby or Child!
I think that lots of the children now a days have a thing for cute owls! They are everywhere! Bedding, purses, clothes, socks and so much more! And it is no wonder! They are adorable! So while I was over on Ralvery I saw the cutest little hand knit owl pattern for a sweet little toy. Another idea would be for a baby shower gift! Wouldn't these be precious knit up and attached to a knit cord for an owl banner for the baby nursery! Or as an owl ornament! Cute, cute cute!!! And they don't take very much yarn or very much time at all. A very frugal gift that is sure to be loved!
Instead of using felt for eyes, I hand crocheted a circle and added cute buttons to the center. Make sure to use safety eyes if the owl will be used by a child.
Want to make a knit stuffed owl for someone on your list? You can get the knit owl pattern for free! Many thanks to Jenna Krupar for the free pattern! You will need to sign up for Ravelry first to access the pattern but Ravelry is a free resource of lots of great knit and crochet patterns and more.

I love Ravelry! Such inspiration there! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteI totally have this in my Ravelry queue. I love how girlie yours turned out with the pink and green. I agree that it could be boyish with different colors. I like your addition of the crocheted eyes instead of felt. Will have to add that to my notes for when I make the owl. Love your work!
